PAUSE started life as a fairly standard Transit van that has been converted into a comfortable, adaptable space. Its compact size means it is easy to drive and can be parked in a variety of settings.
The van has been fitted out with everything needed to facilitate a space for reflection and comes with prayer activities suitable for individuals and small groups.
There is the possibility of extending the space using the van awning, a gazebo and/or available outside space.
This is not primarily a space to pray with people but a space to enable people to experience prayer and reflection for themselves.
The van is available on loan as a resource for churches/groups of churches/organisations to run a prayer space outside of church buildings, giving everyone the opportunity to pause, reflect and pray. Want to know more about how you could borrow the van?
SCHOOLS
We work with schools to provide and resource a mobile prayer and reflection space to contribute to the successful delivery of the school’s Religious and Moral Education curriculum and Health and Wellbeing experiences and outcomes.
We work as part of the Prayer Spaces In Schools network, and alongside local churches, school chaplains and other Christian organisations e.g. Scripture Union, to equip and resource a team to set up and host the space.
COMMUNITY EVENTS
We work with church leaders, local churches or other Christian organisations to equip and resource a team to set up and host a space at local community events.
This could be as part of a larger community event, like a town gala, Highland Games event or Family Fun Day - anywhere your group might already be involved!
